Garden Clearance Seaton

Wow, what a job this one was!

A large garden clearance in Seaton. A big ball of a conifer that needed to be removed was the start and then on to the borders that clearly had been over grown for many years. With brambles growing around 6.5m up into the trees, the trees that could not be seen at the start.

It was a journey of discovery, we had an idea of what was buried in there, but could not really be sure what we would find and what condition it would be in.

Firstly the privet hedging was removed, then we went to work on the endless brambles. All of the waste had to be carried out to the road that was approximately 50m away, where it was chipped. We removed a total of around 7 cubic metres of chipped waste.

We uncovered birch, cherry, laurel and buddleia which we were able to salvage. Sadly the buddleia tree had grown very tall and leggy, this had fallen over and was only being supported by the brambles. We made a temporary support from a branch. The plan is to let the buddleia sprout new growth next spring and then reduce the very long stems.

You can see the huge difference which can be made to an overgrown garden.
